March So Far

Liz has opened my eyes to the beauty of succulents.  Plus, it's really difficult to kill these plants.

Thanks to Cesar Chavez, I had a day off.  The best part...the kids were in school.  It was a great opportunity to take Liz out for her birthday.  She knows downtown inside out.  First stop, the CoffeeBar.  I could have lingered here for a few hours.  The Colombia Pourover was deep and nutty.  Really nice

The real reason for our excursion to downtown was to try the "Trust Me" at Sugarfish.

It was simply delicious.  Completely unadulterated, pure.  The meal made me doubt my prior sushi experiences.  The nori, I mean, what can usually be said of nori? This nori was just a-mazing.  I would have been happy to get a bowl of their warm seasoned rice, a drizzle of ponzu and a stack of nori.
